Jenny O’Dell

Jenny O’Dell graduated from the Muscular Therapy Cortiva Institute in Watertown, Massachusetts in February 2007. Her schooling focused on orthopedic style massage; integrating neuromuscular and myofascial release with other relaxing modalities to bring the body deeper into healing.

Upon graduation she began her career at the luxury spas of the White Barn Inn and Breakwater Spa in Kennebunkport, Maine. She also worked part-time at a local chiropractic office in Sanford, Maine, and maintained a small clientele of home visit clients. The spa’s rigorous therapeutic curriculum enabled Jenny to hone her skills and create a wonderful blend of relaxation techniques that “hide” the deeper work. When the body is allowed to feel safely at ease in her hands, the real healing can begin.

In 2009 she left the field for a time to pursue motherhood. She has since created three wonderful children that are the highlights of her life. Massage therapy enabled her to have the flexibility to stay home with her children until the time was right to again join the workforce. When Jenny isn’t at the office, you’re likely to find her housekeeping (her other calling in life), strolling around Portsmouth with the kids, or belting out big band swing and R&B soul with her band, The Rockingham Groove.

LORILorrie Sanger

Providing Therapeutic Massage continues to be incredibly rewarding and energizing for Lorrie Sanger, a 19 year veteran of massage.  Experience, training, and her compassionate touch will bring relief to your specific area of need.  Her approach, in conjunction with Dr. Amy, involves stretching over-worked, tight muscles and strengthening weak inhibited muscles.  Her repertoire for treatments primarily include orthopedic massage, neuromuscular, myofascial, and trigger point work.  These techniques work together to unlock the restrictions in your body; re-educating and bringing circulation to the muscle groups that need healing.

Lorrie has seen all of these results she has seen first-hand, and it keeps her passion for the profession strong.  Thank you for considering Riverside for your muscular skeletal care whether it is for acute, chronic pain or just to relax.

Carrie Sholes

Carrie graduated from the massage therapy program at the former McIntosh College in Dover, NH in 2004. She worked briefly at a chiropractic office in York, Maine, along with treating a small contingent of her own personal clients. She soon transitioned to her favorite job, being momma to her four little loves. Carrie’s first experience with massage was while pregnant with her oldest, so she is excited at every opportunity to work with a new expecting mom.

Carrie renewed her massage license in February 2017 and joined Dr. Amy’s team at Riverside. Over the last several years, she has refined her style – a mix of stretching, Swedish, trigger point, deep tissue and hot stone massage – and is always eager to add new techniques. She is known for her strong hands and deep pressure, but her goal is to mix compassion and caring into every session and tailor muscle work to each client. She believes when the body is relaxed, it can begin the healing it was created to do.
